In Color Effects you will find all functions that are related to the edition of color in your pictures. More details on this can be found here.
Blur can not only be used as an artistic effect, but also to conceal small weaknesses in a picture.
Sharpen is used for slightly blurred pictures, in order to make structure clearly visible and emphasize outlines.
Median offers you different effects depending on the size of the picture. Small, normal and large pictures will be turned into a kind of watercolor painting. Larger pictures will be smoothed optically. Image noise (e.g. due to long exposure times) can be reduced as well.
Outline accentuates the outlines in a picture. Hint: In connect with the color effect Greyscale the picture will appear similar to a pencil drawing.
Reduce noise braves one of the great problems in digital photography: Image noise. Especially due to longer exposure times in poor lighting conditions and high ISO values, pictures are noisy. Reduce noise takes care of this without changing anything else in the original picture.
If you are not happy with the outcome of an effect just click on Undo or Cancel to restore the as it was before the effect.
With a click on Apply to complete the editing process.
