The color correction provides an adjustment of the three basic parameters of a picture: Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue and Saturation. Just slide the roll bars and watch the changes of the preview in realtime.
Brightness changes all pixels by a given value. The Gamma correction changes relatively (e.g. lighter parts of a picture are light up more) and therefore the result appears more natural.
Using Hue you can make a picture appear unfamiliar and therefore create stunning effects. All shades of color are turned into a different color area and then appear for example in a lush green.
Saturation controls the intensity of colors. From a greyscale picture (control leftmost) to candy color colorings (control rightmost). There a wide range to experience.
Just try it out which method produces the best results with your photos. If you’re not convinced, just one click to cancel the changes. Choose Reset and the roll bars will return to their default position. Your pictures will remain unchanged.
If you are satisfied with the results, click on Apply to resume. Keep in mind that there is always a backup of the original (until you decide to delete it).
